Apple released iTunes 10.5, bringing support for iOS 5 and iCloud

iTunes 10.5 is officially available to the public on October 12th ahead of Wednesday's launch of iCloud and iOS 5. The release is required for users who want to make use of iOS 5 features like iTunes in the Cloud and wireless syncing via WiFi, and is available via Software Update for both Windows and Mac users.

iTunes 10.5

What’s new in iTunes 10.5

1. iTunes in the Cloud. iTunes now stores your music and TV purchases in iCloud and makes them available on your devices anywhere, any time, at no additional cost.

2. Automatic Downloads. Purchase music from any device or computer and automatically download a copy to your Mac and iOS devices.

3. Download Previous Purchases. Download your past music, TV, app, and book purchases again, at no additional cost. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the iTunes Store.

4. Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.

5. Wi-Fi Syncing. Automatically sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes any time they’re both on the same Wi-Fi network.

iTunes 10.5 brings compatibility with iOS 5, which will also finally enable Wi-Fi synchronization for iOS device users, allowing users to sync devices with iTunes without having to connect to a computer via USB, as well as the paid iTunes Match portion of iCloud. iTunes Match is a $24.99/year service that allows users to have their music libraries matched to Apple’s database of over 20 million tracks, making those songs available for use on any iCloud-enabled device associated with the user’s accounts. Songs not available in the iTunes Store can be uploaded to Apple’s servers and also made available across devices.

If you have a bunch of videos files that are non-interactive and try to put them on iTunes 10.5  nothing happens. How do you put video on iPod? As we known, iTunes support video files (MPEG-4 with H.264 compression) with appropriate file extensions (MP4, M4V, MOV) and audio files (AAC, MP3) with appropriate file extensions (M4A, MP3), however, before importing video to iTunes, you need toconvert video to iTunes 10.5 on mac.

Luckily I know a program that allows you to convert your video file to iTunes 10.5 MP4 video for playback which is called as iTunes10.5 converter for mac, just download the latest version on mac os, Mac OS X Lion is also supported.

iTunes 10.5 converter mac is a handy utility tool for iTunes users, With it, you can convert any video to iTunes video or audio from local computer or from internet by adding its URL directly, besides, Output parameter (adjust resolution, Frame Rate, Encoder and Bitrate) is available on the iTunes 10.5 converter mac.

Besides, iTunes 10.5 has Windows version, you can also play video on iTunes 10.5 with iTunes 10.5 converter
