Import Canon Video to Avid Media Composer on Mac Lion

"My sister give me a great Canon 7D camera, I recorded some clips with it. But now, I cannot correctly import the HD video in to AVID. Any help?"

The Canon camera always records its movies as MOV files using AVC / H.264 compression, AVCHD files using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AVC) standard and MOD files using MPEG-2.

The choice of H.264 comes with the requirement of greater processing power, not only from the camera when recording, but also when playing back or editing videos.

The more sophisticated encoding used in the H.264 standard requires quite a bit of processor power to pull it apart and put it back together again, so frame-accurate editing of H.264 requires a fast processor and capable editing program.

Avid Media Composer is a type of computer software application known as a Non-linear editing system, and the newest version 5.5.3 was released on August 2011. However, Avid Media Composer should be able to work with the MOV files, but not Canon MOV, AVCHD, MOD etc.

Canon Video to Avid MC converter Mac supports converting Canon MOD, AVCHD, MXF, MOV files to Avid Media Composer MOV for editing with best quality and fast speed on Mac Lion(10.5-10.7).

Of course, Avid Media Composer converter Mac also can export MOV files from Avid MC to WMV, AVI, MPG, MP4, DV, FLV, 3GP etc for multimedia device and software on Mac.

Now, Import Canon AVCHD/MOD/MOV Files to Avid Media Composer Step by Step

Step 1: Free download Video Converter Mac for Avid Media Composer
