HTC Sensation XE unveiled, packing 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and Beats Audio

HTC has announced its first smartphone to integrate Beats audio technology, dubbed the Sensation XE on Step 14, 2011,. This Android model is also going to boast a very fast dual-core processor and a powerful battery. The Sensation XE will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an upgrade from the Sensation 4G's 1.2GHz dual-core chipset, and will feature a 1730mAh battery. The Android Gingerbread-based handset will sport a 4.3-inch touchscreen, an 8MP camera, a front-facing VGA shooter and 1GB of user-accessible storage with a microSD slot expandable to 32GB. In addition the device will rock some new red design accents to complement the Beats logo.

As the first smartphone produced under HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio, along with an 8GB or 16GB microSD card and remote control that allows users to flip through tracks of take calls without ever reaching inside their pockets. Once these headphones are plugged in, the phone will automatically activate a Beats-optimized sound profile that, according to HTC, will deliver fuller bass, sharper vocals and broader range.

The HTC Sensation XE is pretty well set in terms of connectivity as well – quad-band GSM, dual-band 3G with HSPA support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and FM radio. You also get a 3.5mm audio jack, an MHL-enabled microUSB port and a microSD card slot.
