How to Edit XAVC Files in Final Cut Pro 6/7 to edit

Since Apple stops updating FCP 6 and 7, not adding new plugins to them, some new video formats such as the brand new Sony XAVC recording format, cannot be opened by them. In this case, what can the FCP 6/7 users do? For example, how can they import XAVC to FCP 7 to edit? Actually, it is quite simple. What they only need to do is to convert the unaccepted videos like XAVC to Apple ProRes 422 MOV format.
Recently, Doremisoft has developed a program called the XAVC Converter (Mac XAVC Video Converter) which can perfectly have this task done. I have downloaded it to convert the XAVC footages from my Sony PMW-F5 to FCP 7 to do the post production and found it works nicely without losing the original video quality after the conversion. It can also convert the Sony PMW-F55 XAVC to Final Cut Pro. You can download it and have a try.
Step 1:Drag and drop to import XAVC footages to the XAVC to FCP converter. You can add multiple XAVC files to the program at a time.
add xavc files
Step 2: Choose "Convert to" > "Final Cut Pro" > "Apple ProRes 422 MOV" as the output format
set output format
Step 3: Press "START to launch the conversion. After the conversion, you can easily import XAVC to FCP 6/7 with ease.
If you have any idea on the XAVC, give me your thoughts via Facebook and Twitter feeds or the comments below. Appreciated!

Effortlessly Convert XAVC to MP4/MKV/WMV/AVI/FLV/DivX/XviD/VOB/MOV/M4V, etc

XAVC is a recording format that was introduced by Sony on October 30, 2012. XAVC is an open format that will be licensed to companies that want to make XAVC products. XAVC uses level 5.2 of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC which is the highest level supported by that video standard. XAVC can support 4K resolution (4096 × 2160 and 3840 × 2160) at up to 60 frames per second (fps). XAVC supports color depths of 8-bits, 10-bits, and 12-bits. Chroma subsampling can be 4:2:0, 4:2:2, or 4:4:4. The Material Exchange Format (MXF) can be used for the digital container format.
XAVC is quite new a format that most of the devices, application and programs such as Mac, Smart TV, QuickTime, Media Player, FCP, iMovie, AE, Sony Vegas and more, cannot run such footages. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HTML5

You may well ask: “How can I start using HTML5 if older browsers don’t support it?” But the question itself is misleading. HTML5 is not one big thing; it is a collection of individual features. So you can’t detect “HTML5 support,” because that doesn’t make any sense. But you can detect support for individual features, like canvas, video, or geolocation.
Now, if you want to improve your web applications, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s a concrete example: HTML5 supports all the form controls from HTML 4, but it also includes new input controls. Some of these are long-overdue additions like sliders and date pickers; others are more subtle. HTML5 can be used as an alternative to Adobe Flash. As we all know, the older standard videos were encoded in FLV (before MP4 was supported in Flash), so we need to convert FLV to HTML5 such as converting FLV to WebM so as to make the videos be supported by HTML5 pages.
If you want to convert FLV to HTML5, first you need to get a smart FLV to HTML5 Video Converter (Video Converter for Mac). Doremisoft Video Converter will be your perfect assistant! It can fast convert .FLV to HTML5 OGG/WebM/MP4 file format for IE, Chrome, Safari and more, as well as converting other kind of videos like AVI to WMV. Besides, it’s available for Mac OS X Mountain Lion and Windows 8.
To convert FLV to HTML5, or convert AVI to WMV, please follow the guide below:
Step 1: Add the source videos to the converter by clicking “Add Files” icon. Batch conversion is allowed.
Step 2: Hit the profile box of “Convert to” to choose the output format you need. For example, to convert FLV to HTML5 videos, pick up the output format from “Web Share” tab.
Step 3: After the settings, press the big blue “START” button to launch the conversion.
Tips: Doremisoft MP4 to MOV Converter offers users powerful video editing features: You can edit video by Trimming, Cropping, adding special Effect and Watermark to feature the video if necessary.

iMovie Supported Formats

iMovie makes it easy to turn your home videos into your all-time favorite films. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll watch them over and over again. And you’ll share them with everyone. With iMovie, every video you’ve ever recorded is right in front of you, ready to roll. Grab the popcorn and enjoy the show. Chances are you have a camcorder, a digital camera, or an iPhone — and maybe all three. That means one thing: You have a ton of great video. iMovie puts it all in one place and organizes it for you so your video is easy to browse and fun to watch. Just plug in your device, open iMovie, and start importing your video. It appears in your Event Library — the one place you’ll find everything you’ve ever recorded.
iMovie is meant by concept for imports from camcorders, so, it is not meant as an all-purpose, all-codecs editor. Camcorders actually do use dv, mp2 and AVCHD. The last two can only imported via a camcorder, not for instance via drag'n drop a file. iM09 also supports a few other codecs, the underlying QT engine can de-code on the fly, as h264, photojepg and a few others. Site note: 'mov' ist just a media container, no format - means, not all .mov are compatible with iMovie. 'mp4' is a bit confusing: aside ISO-proofed mpeg4, an mp4 can also contain divx encoded video - which is not supported by iMovie. Same with avi: this is an old Windows media container, no 'format' - could contain codecs, which are not supported. Import from camcorder - and you're on the safe site. have a look on Apple's website, about supported devices.
In this regard, if we want to edit all kinds of videos with iMovie such as to import AVI to iMovie we need to do some conversion.
To convert iMovie unaccepted videos, Doremisoft Video Converter (Video Converter for Mac) will absolutely help you a lot. For example, it can convert MOD to iMovie, or MP4 to iMovie with ultrafast speed and high quality.
Besides, it can also convert iMovie files to other file format, such as to Convert iMovie to AVI and more. You can Download it and have a try.

How Can Mac/Windows Users Edit Panasonic HC-X900 1080/60P AVCHD Videos

Panasonic HC-X900 has evolved from 4-axis to 5-axis correction, this new system provides powerful hand-shake compensation over the entire zoom range. With the manual ring and manual operation, the X900 is a pleasure to use and gives you the freedom to craft unusually expressive images. What’s more, it is sporting 3MOS System Pro which has achieved a revolutionary leap forward in each of its elements – lens, sensor and engine. The Advanced 3MOS Sensor employs a pixel shifting technology to achieve the equivalent of four times the pixel count of Full-HD. And the Crystal Engine Pro II processes this huge amount of pixels at high speed to produce a remarkable level of Full-HD picture quality.
Panasonic HC-X900 can record FULL HD 3D images in the MVC format by simply mounting the optional 3D Conversion Lens. The optional VW-CLT2 3D Conversion Lens is required for shooting 3D images. Moreover, it shoots 1080/60p (50p) videos (Full-HD, 1920 x 1080, 60 (50) progressive recording) with the ultimate beauty in image quality. But to some extent, it is a headache for most Mac users (and sometimes Windows users) to edit HC-X900 AVCHD in iMovie, FCP, etc. That’s because of Mac does not support AVCHD MTS/M2TS file format. MTS files can only typically be opened and edited using the software included with Sony and Panasonic HD camcorders.
How can we solve this problem? Well, solution can be very easy only if you have a professional Mac AVCHD Converter (AVCHD Converter for Windows) to help. For example, Doremisoft AVCHD Converter can help Panasonic HC-X900 users convert HC-X900 AVCHD to AIC .mov for iMovie/FCP to edit.
In addition, if you have such a camcorder video tool, you can also solve the format incompatibility problems caused by other kinds of cameras like Sony NEX-FS700. For example, when you aim to transfer Sony NEX-FS700 AVCHD to FCP or iMovie, you can use it to convert the AVCHD footages, especially converting Sony NEX-FS700 AVCHD to iMovie/FCP.

An Introduction to the New Web Standard: HTML5

What is HTML5?

HTML5 is a markup language for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web and a core technology of the Internet. It is the fifth revision of the HTML standard (created in 1990 and standardized as HTML 4 as of 1997) and, as of December 2012, is a W3C Candidate Recommendation. HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4, but XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML as well.

HTML5 - New Features

Some of the most interesting new features in HTML5:
The <canvas> element for 2D drawing
The <video> and <audio> elements for media playback
Support for local storage
New content-specific elements, like <article>, <footer>, <header>, <nav>, <section>
New form controls, like calendar, date, time, email, url, search
